Robb Holub Debb Holub
Owner/Founders
After living with crisis the owners understand the stress families endure when addiction grips a family. Being on the parents side has provided the insight for a successful results driven recovery program. After experiencing firsthand the crisis with their own son both parents understand how difficult finding the right substance abuse program for your child's recovery can be. The Holub's are thankful for the opportunity to educate and lead young adults and their families on the road to a lifetime of recovery. After nearly losing their son to addiction the creation of Shadow Mountain was a calling to give something back for the gift we have been given. Both Debb & Robb were raised with the right family values which are taught at their program. Along with there son Joey 25 they are blessed with a wonderful daughter Jackie who is 23 yrs old.

Robb Holub
CEO/COO Executive Director
Leading Shadow Mountain Recovery has been a rewarding experience. After managing several other startups from their infancy our family's program always has meant so much more. While writing the program with my wife Debb and having our son Joey be our first resident and graduate, our own personal journey in recovery was taught and program implemented daily. Being in charge of all operations is nothing new for Robb as he has run growing organizations and staff numbering over 85 people. Having a small and exclusive program that works so close with the families ignites a passion for Robb & Debb. Overseeing details for nearly five years has allowed us to continually upgrade and update to a rapidly changing environment for the challenging age population we serve. Our small program has always allowed us the opportunity to specialize our treatment to each family members need. It is attention to detail that has allowed us to be accountable to the highest of standards and values we expect to deliver.

Debb Holub
Managing Director - Program
Debb as the founder of Shadow Mountain has always been the heart and soul of our program. Paying attention to every detail and always insisting that we serve to the highest of standards. Knowing how difficult it is as a parent to hand your child to a stranger she has always been the comforting and supporting member of the SMR team to every parent. When it became clear that our family wanted to start a recovery program Debb led the charge to write and execute the program to every detail. As a parent of an addict the experience, strength, and hope she shared with our residents and the parents drove home the need to have everyone working together for the desired outcome. Our program has always believed that a family that can all coordinate and commit to the process always has the best opportunity to succeed. Time and time again we are reminded by families who have completed our program how this was a life changing event for them. We have always been blessed to have that opportunity to make a difference.

Dr.Jaye Swoboda
Family Practice- Addiction Specialist
The Southwest, New Mexico, and the Taos area, in particular, are wonderful places to tap into the spiritual nature of recovery, exercise, and "spread your wings". I grew up in Montana, attended medical school in Utah, and have practiced as a physician for 32 years, 18 of them in New Mexico and more than twenty of them blending family and addiction medicine. The two disciplines are not separable. I love treating addicts and really enjoy working with the kind of professionals at Shadow Mountain in addressing the medical, psychological and spiritual aspects of the disease of addiction as a team. Addiction is not only a chronic disease but one deeply rooted in childhood, genetics, and the family. I believe in approaching it with the same compassion and evidence-based practice used in treating diabetes or cancer. It has been a pleasure consulting for Shadow Mountain and it is my responsibility to assure patients and their families and their caretakers that their treatment is not only effective and affordable and safe, but based on the best science we have.

Carrie Cameron
Business Development/Admissions
Carrie comes to us with 15 years experience in client service, and successful business development, but shares with our entire team the passion for helping others. In the past she worked in a large corporate treatment environment, Carrie now feels the need to work for a small and exclusive program. From a young age she has been active in her community, volunteering for a myriad of charitable organizations and always working for the betterment of others. Growing up in a close knit family whose business during the past 32 years has been providing housing and skills training to adults with mental illness has taught her many valuable lessons. Most importantly it instilled the desire to be of service to her community and appreciation of working with like minded people such as the SMR founding family the Holub's. As a graduate of the University of Oregon her desire was always to pursue public service. Working with the Shadow Mountain team and it's charitable giving approach to helping families receive the highest level of recovery services at an affordable price is a natural fit. Carrie loves to spend time with her two daughters who are active in their church, school, and sports.

Shawn Henley
Recovery Mentor
Having the priviledge of experiencing treatment himself has given me an overwhelming sense of gratitude, willingness, and first hand knowledge of the disease of addition to alcohol and drugs. While receiving this education I learned how to enjoy sober living and freedom from the bondage of addiction. I recognized what had to change to live an honest and free lifestyle, in my case it was everything. My life revolves around recovery and I apply the principles of 12 Step in every aspect of my life. Making these changes have given me the attitude of appreciating what I have rather than what I thought I needed. Life is Awesome. !!!!
