When it comes to adolescent drug problems as a parent you feel like you are walking a fine line between experimenting and addiction. For starters drugs are illegal and it should never been known to your child that it’s okay to experiment. An adolescent brain is not fully developed and therefore they could be doing irreversible damage to themselves only using one time. That being said, there is a difference being trying something out of curiosity and your child using drugs. Drug Rehab: Will My Child Be Labeled A Bad Kid?

It’s normal to worry that if you send your child to drug rehab that it will get out to teachers, students and other staff at school. No one wants their child to be labeled a problem child or a bad kid. If you are sending your child to rehab you are hoping that they will get clean, stay clean and get back on the right track. The last thing you want is for them to leave rehab and be trying to start over with a label on their back. Talk to the rehab about your concerns and your child’s school.
