Music Studio
The music studio provides our young men an opportunity to write, produce and record their own music. Using state of the art Pro Tools software our guys create music out of their own experiences and learn to express themselves through this medium. The issues that brought them to treatment in the first place are explored in depth and transformed through the use of metaphor into song. Our young men learn to collaborate and relinquish their own egos to the power of the collective when working together on a project. Communication skills are a key component to working in a collaborative way and each individual is encouraged to understand the concept of the collective as greater than the individual. Being in a band or any musical endeavor with others is very much like recovery in that we cannot do it alone
